My January Ramblings.

I apologise for being so slack with keeping my blog up to date these past few months however I have been having problems yet again with my hands and then the Chronic Fatigue and Fibro decided to join in the fun in November. However I am pleased to say that the surgery I had on my right hand was successful and the CF has settled so I am looking forward being able to get back into the swing of things.

My classes for January are as follows:-

Monday 17th at 9:30am - Regular Card Class ... 3 cards using sponging techniques - $12
Friday 21st at 7:00pm - Regular Card Class ... 3 cards using sponging techniques

Monday 31 at 9:30am - OTP ... 4 drawer box - $15
Friday 4th (Feb) at 7:00pm - OTP ... 4 drawer box

For my January OTP we will be making a 4 drawer box. This is a gorgeous box which I was shown by my upline a few months ago and have been wanting to share it at a workshop myself as I have had so many people wanting to make it themselves.

I just love the new Presto Paper from Stampin' Up! - It's in their current Summer Mini Catalogue on page 10 but the photo in the catalogue doesn't do it justice. I've been playing around with sponging, stamping and brayering the papers.

With the scrapbook page layout ... first of all I sponged it with Always Artichoke and Soft Suede and then lightly sprayed it with Frost White Shimmer Paint.

This time I lightly sponged the Presto Paper with Rich Razzleberry and then using a Sponge Dauber highlighted specific areas. I am actually using this technique in my January Card Workshop.
This time I used the Very Vintage Jumbo Roller to roll the image onto the Paper and then sponged lightly over the top to bring out more of the pattern in the paper. This time I've used Perfect Plum.
And finally I used the Brayer with Elegant Eggplant which really brought out the pattern in this piece.
Apart from the beautiful patterns in these papers what I also love is the fact that you can use whatever technique and inks to match your projects perfectly.
