February Caboolture Library Class
My class at the Caboolture Library has a Valentine's Day theme. We will be making a card using one of the heart shaped Treat Cups as well as a Gift Pocket Wallet which was designed by Erica from Pink Buckaroo Designs. Thanks Erica.
This class in on Friday 4th February from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm - cost $1o. Bookings need to be made directly with the Caboolture Library and there is a limit of 10 places available.

My January Ramblings.
I apologise for being so slack with keeping my blog up to date these past few months however I have been having problems yet again with my hands and then the Chronic Fatigue and Fibro decided to join in the fun in November. However I am pleased to say that the surgery I had on my right hand was successful and the CF has settled so I am looking forward being able to get back into the swing of things.
My classes for January are as follows:-
Monday 17th at 9:30am - Regular Card Class ... 3 cards using sponging techniques - $12
Friday 21st at 7:00pm - Regular Card Class ... 3 cards using sponging techniques

Monday 31 at 9:30am - OTP ... 4 drawer box - $15
Friday 4th (Feb) at 7:00pm - OTP ... 4 drawer box
For my January OTP we will be making a 4 drawer box. This is a gorgeous box which I was shown by my upline a few months ago and have been wanting to share it at a workshop myself as I have had so many people wanting to make it themselves.

I just love the new Presto Paper from Stampin' Up! - It's in their current Summer Mini Catalogue on page 10 but the photo in the catalogue doesn't do it justice. I've been playing around with sponging, stamping and brayering the papers.
With the scrapbook page layout ... first of all I sponged it with Always Artichoke and Soft Suede and then lightly sprayed it with Frost White Shimmer Paint.

Charlie

Charlie with my hubby .................

Tired out after our morning walk ...............

Thursday, January 13, 2011
Caboolture, Morayfield and districts were hit with over 10 inches of rain in a 10 hour period. Our front steps became a waterfall and the patio a swimming pool. We were so fortunate though to not have any water enter the main part of our house. We just ended up with some coming into the breezeway area which is lower than our home and also a pool of water on the floor and sewing cabinet in my craft room.
Compared though to what others have gone through this is nothing. The devastation in the Toowoomba, Grantham, Ipswich & Brisbane areas was horrific and will take some residents and businesses years to fully recover from.
