Some animals we met on our travels in Tassie

These friendly ducks visited us for breakfast at our motor-home when in Hobart. They were so funny getting up to all sorts of antics to try and get our attention. These little paddy melon wallabies were everywhere in Tassie and were so friendly.
We visited Seahorse World which was extremely interesting. These little guys were so cute. They are one marine creature which I have always been fascinated by. These ones are the pot-bellied sea-horses. The large belly is a feature of this species are aren't males incubating eggs.
These are 3 week old sea-horses .... there were 1,000s of them.
These are teenagers ..................
Next to Seahorse World is the Platypus House. These too are incredible animals and I could have stayed for hours watching them.
At the Platypus House are also echidnas. I had never seen how friendly these little guy are before. When we lived on the farm we had lots of them around us in the bush but we'd never got close to them. However these were just gorgeous. They were so friendly that we had to watch where we were walking in case we accidentally tripped over one. They aren't at all aggressive and if the feel threatened just curl up in a ball.
